Frequently Asked Questions

Can anyone see a chiropractor?

Just about everyone can get checked! Everyone’s body is different and while the adjustments may look different with different people, the end goal is always the same. Chiropractic adjustments aim to clear the nervous system of interference which help free up communication between the brain and the body. This allows the body to better heal itself and adapt to potential issues and illnesses.

What is that "pop" or "cracking"sound when I get adjusted?

The sound that you may sometimes hear during a chiropractic adjustment is called cavitation. Cavitation is a normal response during an adjustment when trapped gases are released from a subluxation. While you may sometimes hear this cavitation during some adjustments, not all adjustments may produce one. While adjusting newborns and infants, it is common to not hear a cavitation at all.

How often should I expect to see my chiropractor?

When you first start chiropractic care, we prefer to see our patients a few times a week. One of the most important things in chiropractic care is consistency and frequency. The number of visits may vary depending on the care needed. This is why we offer affordable memberships that are tailored to your needs. This helps us adapt our care to your body’s needs. While we may adjust the number of visits depending on how your body is healing, our goal is to get our patients down to one time a week or even two times a month.

How long can each adjustment take?

You can expect your first visit to be around 30 minutes long. This first visit covers an exam, consultation, as well as answering any questions you may have about your care. If there are no follow-up considerations, you can receive an adjustment during your first visit. Each visit after the first one will generally last about 10 to 15 minutes long.
